BJP has postponed its nation-wide agitation in Bihar against the Centre for allowing FDI in multi-brand retail and corruption under the UPA II government following the Adalatghat stampede.

Bihar BJP President C P Thakur has stated that the party's agitation in Patna scheduled for November 21 and in rest of Bihar on November 22 was postponed indefinitely.

Accordingly, the visit of BJP MP Prakash Javdekar to Patna tomorrow stands cancelled, he said, adding, the party's agitation programme would go as per schedule in other parts of the country.

Meanwhile, CPI, CPI-M and CPI-ML in a joint statement here said they would organise a street march in Patna on November 22 to protest against the 'criminal neglect on the part of government and police that triggered the stampede at Adalatghat.'
