Patna: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who was scheduled to visit Bihar’s capital city on Tuesday, was unable to reach here due to bad weather conditions. King Khan was scheduled to arrive at the airport on Tuesday morning and promote his movie in Patna.

Khan’s airplane could not be allowed to land at Patna Airport due to poor weather conditions in the region.

Khan’s fans gathered at Patliputra Colony were highly disappointed at the turn of events and they turned violent. The fans began hurling stones at the police and refused to leave the venue. Police were forced to lathi charge at the mob to maintain law and order at the venue. Only after additional force arrived, were they able to establish peace.

The fans were unhappy over the fact they had to return without seeing a glimpse of their favourite Bollywood star. SRK has never been to the city before.

Meanwhile, sources said the district administration did not have any knowledge of the actor’s arrival and bad weather conditions further added to the reasons for the authorities to refuse permission for Khan’s aircraft to land at Patna. Sources said the organisers of the programme may be charged for not informing Patna administration.
