New Delhi: Cheska Vallois has indeed carved a name for herself in the world of artistic furniture. Her first claim to fame was successfully bidding for the most expensive piece of furniture sold at an auction, where she paid €21 million (Rs 147.7 crores) for an Eileen Gray chair, which was a part of the collection of Pierre Berge and Yves Saint Laurent. Over the years, she is known to have access to the best furniture available from the Art Deco period, which many of her rich clients bid for with generosity to own, and the followers who come to see the aesthetics and artwork of these pieces of art.
This year's exhibition was held between September 14-23 at Paris Grand Palais, and collection is of an American couple whom Vallois describes as having "sharpest eye, taste and a wonderful intuition. We bring you some glimpses of the collection to check out, and perhaps gain access to, if the resources provide for.
