Sex with dead wife to be legalised in Egypt
New Delhi: It may sound bizarre but the Islamist-dominated Parliament of Egypt will soon pass a law that will enable husbands to have sex with their dead wives for “upto six hours.”
The controversial law is part of measures being introduced by the Egyptian Parliament, it was reported. The Parliament will also lower the minimum age of marriage to 14 years and will consider the women’s rights of getting education and employment.
According to a newspaper report, a Moroccan cleric was found having sex with his dead wife in May 2011. He questioned the charges and stated that the marriage remains valid even after death.
