London: Six-year-old Max was conceived after his mother Ellie Silverwood took the help of a sperm donor to give birth as her ex-husband was unable to have children.

The curious mother intrigued by the thought that there could more siblings of Max, conceived from the sperm of the same donor, which she used around seven years back.

The mother took the help of Donor Sibling Registry, a US-based website which allows families of donor children to locate each other.

The only information she had was that the max's biological father is Danish and had the donor alias of 'Dane 1421'.

Her efforts paved-off and soon she got a response from nine families.

Silverwood found 11 siblings of Max- eight boys and three girls.

The first one to get in touch with her was Liam's mother.

She emailed me a picture of Liam and I burst into tears when I saw it. He was the spitting image of Max. I was really happy and excited', said Silverwood on Daily Mail.

The boys look incredibly similarity to each other.

They all share what must be their father’s hair, distinctive shaped eyes, eye colour, head shape and noses. They also have the same outgoing sparky characters – and they all loved playing Angry Birds.

Danish laws liberal when it comes to providing information about donor fathers; in comparison to UK law.

DANE 1421's profile stood out in the list of 60 probable donors Silverwood was scanning to be the father of her future child.

He stood out on their list of 30 possible donors: he is 6ft, blond, blue-eyed, speaks four languages, has two degrees and plays the saxophone – and she also learned his favourite car is an Aston Martin Vantage V8.

Apart from his physical characteristics, it was Dane1421's story that moved Silverwood.

He described his love for his wife, and referred to his children as “his treasures” which I thought was wonderful.

‘I liked the fact this was an educated man who had come to a decision with his wife to help childless couples', Silverwood quoted.

With the help of a fertility clinic, she imported the sperm under license from regulator, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, the report read.
