Chandigarh: With eyes on Haryana assembly elections 2014, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now invited whistleblower IAS officer Ashok Khemka to join the party and lead it in Haryana.

After making a stunning debut in Delhi assembly elections, the party has plans to target bigger arena. Addressing a public meeting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday, senior party leader Manish Sisodia told the media, "I personally want Khemka to join the party, and play an important role."

Haryana is going to polls next year.

Khemka faced three vigilance inquiries and was chargsheeted for 'administrative misconduct' after he cancelled the mutation of a land deal involving Congress president Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra, and realty giant DLF.

Notably, AAP founder Arvind Kejriwal, who hails from Haryana, and Khemka are alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
