Delhi gang rape: Victim not the only target, accused tried to kidnap another girl

New Delhi: The shock of the 16th December gang rape incident is still raw,even as new details and associated facts keep emerging every day. It has now been revealed that the group of 6 who so brutally tortured and killed the 23 year old had originally attempted to abduct another.

The chargesheet that was submitted by Delhi Police contains this information. What saved her was her success in being able to get hold of an autorickshaw just as the bus reached the spot on the IIT flyover where she was standing. The bus moved on and picked up the victim and her friend later.

Reports say that all 6 were drunk after a birthday celebration and had plans to claim an innocent victim.
