2012's witnessed a cool start with one of Bollywood’s most anticipated wedding taking place in Mumbai. Groom Riteish Deshmukh tied the knot with his longtime sweetheart Genelia D'Souza in a typical Maharasthrian style.

Clad in a white bandhgala sherwani with a traditional headgear, Riteish looked like the perfect groom.

Interestingly, Riteish's good friend Ashish was seen stealing the groom's juttis. Taking inspiration from the famous Indian tradition of 'Jutte Churaai,'  guess Ashish decided to change loyalties and tried hard to play Genelia's sister.

Amidst the naach-gaana and nagada, the entire Bollywood took its route to a suburban five star hotel, where the wedding the wedding took place. From the who’s who of Bollywood to the industrialists to the politicos, the wedding was a complete extravaganza.

After the star-studded sangeet hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, the pre-wedding rituals took place at both the bride and groom’s residence.

Speaking to a Daily, a source said, “Yesterday Riteish had the haldi ceremony, after which he isn’t going to be allowed to step out of the house until the wedding today. But his friends kept him busy all day through and he was rather excited too.”

While Riteish took to Twitter a few hours ago, "Saw the Last sunset as a Bachelor."

Genelia was seen wearing a Ritu Kumar creation on the wedding. And, the reception will take place tomorrow.
