When Vidya Balan sets her mind to something she goes all out to achieve it. The actress is doing another biopic film where she plays the role of legendary Carnatic classical singer MS Subbulakshmi. Buzz is that she has verbally agreed to be a part of Rajiv Menon's film where she will play the role of the singer.

Incidentally, Vidya's family members are big fans of the South Indian singer and were thrilled when they got the news that she would be playing her in the film. Initially, there was lot of apprehension on Balan's side to take up the film. She even consulted her husband UTV head honcho Siddharth Roy Kapoor who gave his nod of approval to her as well. A source reveals that Vidya is planning to take up classical singing lessons to prepare herself for the part. Even though there is ample time for the film to go on the floor, Vidya has already started making inquiries on getting herself a teacher.

Balan will start Menon's film after she finishes the sequel to Sujoy Ghosh's ‘Kahaani’ and PNC's ‘Shaadi Ke Side Effects’ with Farhan Akhtar.
