What’s special about the 2004 edition of the Pirelli calendar, other than it being a PIRELLI calendar of course, is the beautiful blend of traditional photography and digital art.

Shifting the focus from men’s desire to those of women, world famous photographer Nick Knight and art director Peter Saville produced a unique, vibrant and magical calendar. This issue of the ‘cal’ was very different from the others which are usually shot in exotic locations. The 2004 edition did not have big locations to boast about but it still managed to arouse and intoxicate in a way which couldn’t have been done by anyone else, any other photographer or any other maker other than Pirelli!
