Google to bring Motorola X-Phone and X-Tablet to compete with Apple, Samsung

Google in a bid to compete with the popular and established mobile device companies Samsung and Apple, will bring X-Phone and X-Tablet manufactured by Motorola.


According to a news report which appeared in the AppleInsider “Google is said to have tasked subsidiary Motorola to engineer a sophisticated smartphone to compete with Apple's iPhone and offerings from Samsung which, when released sometime in 2013, will be the first in-house handset from the Android creator.”


The details about the device and about the debut of the device is still unknown, but it appears from another news in the Engadget that, this effort is being headed up by former Google product manager Lior Ron. At the moment there is no clarity whether these will join the Nexus range of mobile devices. It is also rumored that the company even explored the possibilities of producing a bendable displays.


These will be first devices produced by Motorola Mobility after Google acquired the company for $12.5 billion in May this year.
