The latest arrival from BlackBerry- the qwerty keypad based Blackberry Q10 has come to UK yesterday. It is soon going to land in the hands of customers in Canada stating May 1. But all is not well with this new device, as customer’s privacy is on compromise, says a leading news portal.

“A setting on the new Q10 alerts your BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) contacts to which tracks you are enjoying - but will also inform them  if  you've been secretly using your smartphone to watch porn online” says Mark Prigg of dailymail.

The feature over-sharing was launched which was launched yesterday by actress and model Lily Cole, come on the Q10 phone, and it could send alert messages to your contacts on what you are watching on your phone.  The phone uses media player to play music and video content. So when you choose to share music content, you also share video content you are watching.

About this feature BlackBerry, according to the report has said that this is not a ‘by-default’ setting and users need to activate this feature to enable it and share stuff. Few customers though reported that the feature was already switched on when they got their purchased product. The feature can be disabled.

While the world is moving towards touchscreen smartphones, Blackberry who made a name for itself with its range of qwerty keypad phone, also switched to full touchscreen phone with the BlackBerry Z10, announced this year in January. The Q10 is one of the few new qwerty keypad phones that will appeal to those who prefer keypad phones to a touchscreen.
