Gadkari to lead poll campaign for Modi in Gujarat

Dailybhaskar.com   |  Nov 16, 2012, 12:20PM IST
Ahmedabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Nitin Gadkari, who doesn’t share a good equation with Gujarat CM Narendra Modi would lead the campaigning squad in poll-bound Gujarat, along with key faces like party veteran LK Advani, Shahnawaz Hussain and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi as part of electioneering.

With its announcement on Thursday the BJP hushed the controversies related to its list of central leaders who will campaign in Gujarat assembly polls.

Recently, MG Vaidya, a senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist made headlines by publicly stating that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi is behind the campaign that is targeting Nitin Gadkari.

Apparently, the strained relations between him and Gadkari developed with the re-induction of his arch-rival Sanjay Joshi into the party fold. However, Gadkari had bought peace with Modi by asking the Sanjay Joshi to keep away from the National Executive Meet.
