Narayan Sai breaks down during police interrogation, confesses his misdeeds

Ahmedabad/Surat: Rape accused self styled godman Narayan Sai, the son of self-claimed spiritual guru Asaram, broke down during questioning by the Surat police. He has started confessing to all his misdeeds which he had been denying earlier.
Initially, an uncooperative Sai, who is accused of raping one of his Surat-based devotees, started cooperating in the investigation after he was warned that he would be made to undergo a lie detector test and a brain mapping.
He was shown a copy of the FIR filed against him and asked to point out errors, if any.
Narayan Sai confessed that whatever charges have been made by the victims against him are true. He confessed that he knew the victim and has visited many places with her. However, he said he never sexually abused her.
Sai also revealed how he shuttled between many states like Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab during the 58 days that he was in hiding. He also gave out the names of people who helped him hide at various locations.
The names which Narayan Sai gave included those of several businessmen who will also be interrogated later.
Sai is being treated like any common prisoner. He has been given a mat which he spreads on the floor and sleeps inside the lockup.
Narayan Sai has been allowed to use utensils from his ashram. However, the food served to him is provided by the jail. He did not eat anything for the entire day on Thursday. After he was produced before a local court here, he ate food at 1 am.
Self-styled godman Asaram Bapu's son Narayan Sai was arrested on Wednesday in Pipli, Haryana and brought to Delhi for identification and questioning, and is now being questioned by Crime Branch officials of the Surat Police in connection with a sexual assault case filed against him
Gujarat Police had secured a day's transit remand from a Delhi court on Wednesday to take Narayan Sai into custody and produce him before a court in Surat in connection with the case.
