Surat: Constable Rajdeep Jhala with Valsad Police was suspended, after he posted pictures of seized liquor bottles on Facebook. The bottles were seized by police during a routine checking, a few days back.

Posted with Dungri Police Station, Jhala posted the pictures on a fake profile, ‘Rajveersinh Rana’, and even shared the pictures with his friends. The incident came to light when users of the social networking website informed mediapersons about it, and later police.

Investigations revealed that Jhala had even prepared a fake identity card of US’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He posted scan copies of the same on the website and promised his friend, Digubhai Jhala, one similar card.

As a consequence, Valsad DSP Nipun Torawane suspended Jhala and ordered a departmental probe against him. “A DySP level officer has asked for probe in the incident,” said Torawane. “Jhala has confessed to the crime and thus has been suspended, with immediate effect. We are investigating all charges against him.”
