The world Malaria day is observed worldwide on 25th April. It marks and recognizes the global efforts and needs to curb the spread of malaria. And while the mortality rates have gone down by 25%, there were around 660,000 deaths due to malaria this year.
According to the website of WHO, the theme for defeating Malaria this year will be -- Invest in the future, Defeat Malaria.
Malaria is a dangerous disease that is spread by mosquitoes. Unless diagnosed and treated it can turn fatal. The malaria parasite is spread by female Anopheles mosquitoes, which are night-biting mosquitoes.
