Ganesha Chaturthi: 10 rituals and Vidhi Pooja you should do
As per Hindu calendar’s Bhadrapada month's fortnight is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, the God of wisdom. This date is also famous as Vinayak Chaturthi. In folk traditions, the birth of Lord Ganesha is celebrated for ten days.
This year, the Chaturthi is beginning on September 9 and will go up to September 18, i.e Anant Chaturdashi.
During this time of Ganesha's birthday, people worship and fast for their Vinayak who releases all their pain, distress and barriers in life. There is also the importance of charity on this day.
According to astrology, Chaturthi is considered to be really auspicious time when people should worship Lord Ganesha and fast to please the God in various ways mentioned in the Shastras. These methods are believed to be really wonderful that fulfills people's wishes.
