Mumbai: Man abducts son to extort money from second wife
New Delhi: The Mumbai police have arrested a man for allegedly orchestrating kidnapping of his three-year-old son and demanding ransom from his second wife.
According to reports, the accused, Naresh Ingale, and his first wife were arrested on Tuesday and the boy was rescued.
Reports state that fed up of his second wife's ill treatment the accused took the boy, Kalpak, from their residence and kept him at his first wife's place.
He later came home and told his second wife that their son was missing. A missing report was filed with the Santa Cruz police.
After five days, Ingale told the police that he received an extortion call of Rs 5 lakh for the release of Kalpak.
But, when investigators asked him to take the money so that they can catch the kidnappers’ red-handed, he hesitated to cooperate.
This raised doubt against him. When police grilled Ingale he confessed to his crime and told police that his son is safe with his first wife.
