Osho: The Sex Guru who labelled iconic Gandhi as 'erotic'
Mumbai: He was one of the most controversial spiritual leaders of India. Rajneesh or Osho as he liked to be called was forever talking of the wonders of sex. He taught that sex was the essence of life. Sex to him was the means to achieve the 'supreme conscience'.
Such views in a country like India were bound to come up for opposition. Yet, such was his charisma and power of oratory that he silenced many critics when they confronted him. His enemies grew in number.
In his speeches he was an iconoclast, lambasting Gandhi and various other prominent personalities. He labeled Gandhi a masochistic erotic. The public called Rajneesh a ‘Sex Guru’.
