Is Twitter's Vine internet's latest porn hub?

New Delhi: Vine, the iOS mobile app launched by Twitter that allows users to create and instantly share videos, is fast becoming filled with sexually-explicit content, thanks to Twitter's censorship-free policy.

Vine's terms of service simply says, "You should only provide Content that you are comfortable sharing with others under these Terms." It does not ban posting porn or sexually explicit content, but users can flag videos that they find offensive.

Videos that have been reported as inappropriate carry with them a warning that a viewer has to click through before viewing the video.

With pornographic material being created and shared very quickly on it, Vine runs the risk of being removed from Apple’s App Store, which has a clear policy regarding these matters.

Apple's iStore policy states “apps containing pornographic material, defined by Webster’s Dictionary as ‘explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings’, will be rejected”.

Vine is available exclusively through iOS app store for iPhone and iPod touch.
