Bhopal: Paving way for prosecution of tainted IAS couple - Aravind and Tinoo Joshi - in the disproportionate assets case, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is learnt to have given consent on Wednesday.
He has also approved confiscation of their ill-gotten wealth.
The CM gave his consent to prosecute the Joshis and confiscate their properties immediately after the recommendations to this effect were put up before him.
The empowered committee of the General Administration Department has already cleared their case for prosecution. The Lokayukta’s special police establishment (SPE) had sent a report to the state law department seeking sanction to prosecute these officers under Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act in October 2012.
