Bhopal: The government approved on Monday to legalise accommodations of landless persons made on government land on the cities’ outskirts. Those persons who have not got land rights for such occupations from April 14, 2004 to December 31, 2011 would be eligible.
In a cabinet meet chaired by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan persons who have made such dwellings on private land will also be given land rights.
It was also decided that limits of Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions will be reconstituted. Dindori, so far with Shahdol, will now be part of Jabalpur division. The cabinet decided to extend the term of 36 fast track courts in the state upto March 31, 2013 and their expenses during the period of this extension will be borne by the government.
The cabinet in another major decision decided to set up 400 public service centres to help in better administration across MP of which, 313 would be opened in development blocks and 87 in urban areas.
The cabinet also gave nod for constituting Madhya Pradesh Pilgrimage and Fair Authority.
The government, however, has kept the Simhasth Mela held at Ujjain away from its purview.
Another decision taken was to restart Nepa Limited, Nepanagar, Burhanpur. It has been decided outstanding dues of around `28 crore payable by the company to various departments/institutions should be converted into Madhya Pradesh government’s share in the company’s authorised share capital and other outstanding dues/interest amounting to around `37 crore against the company should be waived. A recommendation will be made to the Union government for waiving dues net present value amount of `22 crore payable to the forest department.
The cabinet also decided to sanction dearness allowance to employees working on deputation in corporations and boards and receiving fourth and fifth pay scales, with effect from January 1, 2012.
