Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh forest department has won international green globe foundation award for outstanding achievement in environment sector, official sources said on Sunday.

The award was jointly given by the United Nations Environment Programme, Tata Energy and Research Institute (TERI) and Vizcraft International during Delhi Sustainable Development Summit-2012 held in New Delhi recently. MP had sent a nomination for the award for its research extension work and Lok Vaniki Yojana. The state has 156 research and extension nurseries.
