21-year old girl raped by son of Congress councilor; culprit still at large
Indore/Nagda: After the December 16 gang-rape incident in the national capital, Indore and its neighboring areas have witnessed a spurt in rape crime in recent past. In this series, a shocking incident of abduction and rape surfaced on Thursday evening where the accused turned out to be the son of a Congress Party councilor.
A 21-year old girl from Nagda Geeta (name changed) lodged a complaint with the police and alleged that she was first abducted and then raped by Mahesh. According to victim, she was made to stay in a chamber where Mahesh, son of Congress Party councilor Tikaram Tatawat, threatened to kill her brother if she resisted his move. The victim further alleged that he also forced her to marry him despite the fact that he was already married and father to a 5-year old child.
According to Mandi SHO Dinesh Chandra Rathore, Mahesh forcibly took Geeta (name changed) to a deserted place and forced her to marry him including raping her by threatening to kill her brother.
Acting on her complaint, the police have registered a case against Mahesh on various counts of rape and abduction. The cops have also arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in this case while prime accused Mahesh is still absconding.
