Master Plan 2021 returns, in a whole new avatar
Indore: The revised version of the controversial Master Plan 2021 for Indore is likely to be implemented from the first fortnight in May. This revised version has been stuck in Bhopal for six months but Environment and Water Resources Minister Jayant Mallya says that the plan is likely to be passed in a few days’ time.
Mallya said that the whole plan has been passed according to the Supreme Court procedure and in eight to ten days’ time.
After the master plan was prepared, the Supreme Court had given an opportunity to the more-than 700 people, who had raised objections against it. The complainants were those whose property’s land-use was changed by the T&CP in the 2008 plan.
The court heard their plea in hearings held in September and October 2010. There was dispute surrounding 5000 acre of land in the city.
