New Delhi: Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru’s hanging prompted the terrorist organisations to carry out the twin blasts in Hyderabad on Thursday that killed 16 and injured 119. The conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) in a joint meeting of terror outfits on February 9 and February 10, which was attended by groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad and Hizbul Mujahideen.  The ‘Jihad Council’ meeting was presided over by Mumbai attack mastermind and LeT chief Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul chief Syed Sallauddin. According to information gathered by investigative agencies, Indian Mujahideen commanders Reyaz Bhatkal and Yaseen Bhatkal were entrusted with providing a detailed report after surveying the crowded Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad.

According to intelligence sources, the ‘Bashir Camp’ had funded the operation from Dubai. First the date to convert conspiracy into action was chosen to be February 16, 19 and 20. But Indian agencies sniffed the conspiracy and alerted states about the threat perception, resulting in postponement of the wicked plot till February 21.
