Six passengers injured in bomb blast in Jalpaiguri in West Bengal
Jalpaiguri, West Bengal: A bomb exploded inside a bus at Borovisah Chowpati in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district leaving at least six passengers injured. Some of the injured commuters have been reported to be in serious condition.
The bus, bound for Phunsiling in neighboring Bhutan, had started from Assam and had stopped at Chowpati along the Assam-Bengal border, and as the passengers were about to get off the bus, the bomb concealed in the rear end, exploded.
Police are yet to ascertain those involved in the planting of the bomb. The injured have been rushed to the Alipurduar civil hospital for treatment.
