AIIMS Jodhpur likely to get functional in 2012
Jodhpur: With nearly 60 per cent of the construction work of its main building complete, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here is likely to get functional from the next year.
Rajasthan Additional Chief Secretary (Development) JC Mohanty arrived at the under-construction AIIMS complex on Monday and asked officials to complete all work within strict deadlines so that classes at the institute could begin next year.
The AIIMS campus comprises a medical college in 7200 sq m, nursing college in 2600 sq m and an ayush block in 800 sq m.
167 residential quarters have already been constructed which will be handed over to the AIIMS administration before June 1.
