Pics: Anindita Dasgupta suicide-young officer found guilty of ‘stealing affection’
Jaipur/ Jodhpur: When Flight Controller Anindita Dasgupta of the Jodhpur Air Force station committed suicide , it created a flutter of sorts.
Anindita committed suicide after a tiff with her husband, Vishak Aiyar who is also a serving officer. Apparently, it was a bad day for the couple with a quarrel having erupted before they had left for office. When Aiyar returned, he saw his wife chatting on the computer. There was a major row when he then asked her to get him food leading to the two sleeping in separate rooms.
That night itself, Aiyar found his wife hanging from the fan in her room at night.
Eight months after the incident, a court of enquiry has decided that fellow Flight Officer Ishant Sharma is guilty of ‘stealing the affection of a fellow officer’s wife’. It was Ishant Anindita was chatting with when her husband returned home on that fateful night.
The court of enquiry has found Sharma guilty of having been responsible for causing disturbances between a couple and the death of a talented officer.
The entire force is in shock at the incident and also at the result of the enquiry.
On the 5th of July, Ishant was dismissed after an approval by the President who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
