Panic grips city as boy's mutilated body found
Jaipur: Panic gripped in the Hasanpura area on Saturday morning when a dead body of a boy was found at the Birla ground.
The face of victim body was badly badly mutilated and the miscreants had thrown acid on face and neck of the victim to hide his identity.
The locals heard a commotion of dogs coming out from the Birla ground in the morning. Some men went into the ground to find out the reason.
As they neared the place, they found a dead body lying in the thickets and the dogs had eaten parts of the arm. Finding the body, the men immediately informed the police about the incident.
A team of Sodala police station rushed to the spot along with senior officials of the police commissionerate.
Meanwhile, the news spread like wild fire and large crowds turned up at the place.
According to police, the victim was stripped off his clothes.
The face of the deceased had been badly mutilated with stones and acid.
Also the miscreants had set the body ablaze in a bid to erase any evidence. However, the body was not totally disfigured.
An forensic science laboratory team was rushed to the spot which lifted samples and evidences from the spot. Meanwhile, the people kept thronging the spot in groups.
Meanwhile, the police believe that the deceased has been from the minority community and a cap worn by him while offering namaaz was also found from the place.
“The incident came to light around 7 am and a police team rushed to the spot. The forensic science laboratory team has taken samples from the scene. Further investigation has been started,” said Anil Rao, additional commissioner of police, Sodala.
