Toppers of Rajasthan University to receive laptops and scholarships
UG and PG University toppers have one more reason to make merry - Chief Minister Ashok Gahlot has announced that it will present laptops to 1000 students who have topped in their respective subjects.
Gahlot made this announcement at the opening ceremony of Student Union’s President Abhishek Choudhary’s office.
Gahlot said that it is an honour that Dr. Manmohan Singh has given a national level status to this university. He also instructed the University patriarch to hasten the admission process.
“The state government has decided to award laptops to 10,000 boys and girls of 10th and 12th Secondary Education Board on merit basis. Additionally, a monthly scholarship of Rs 500 will be awarded to the students with academic excellence in class 12”, said Gahlot. “Speaking at the occasion, MP Mahesh Joshi announced Rs 11 lakh from ministerial quota for the College of Law.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development work to the tune of Rs 23.61 crore at the University of Rajasthan.
