Rajasthan: 8-year-old girl raped, stoned to death

Jaipur: An 8-year-old mentally challenged girl was raped and then stoned to death in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, on Thursday.
According to media reports, the accused, a neighbour of the victim, lured the girl by offering him chocolates and took her to an isolated place Dhondara area and raped her.
He then hit her on the head with a stone and dumped her body into a pit in Kamal Talai area. Some passers-by spotted the body and informed the police
Report states that the accused, Manoj Pratap Singh, has a criminal history. He had been chargesheeted for vehicle lifting a few months ago.
Pratap has been arrested and the police are expected to file a chargesheet as soon as possible.
Rs 5lakh compensation given to victim's parents
The authorities have announce a compensation of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister Relief Fund.
