Big leap: Saina Nehwal joins signs $7.5 million contract
New Delhi: Making a huge leap, India's star shuttler Saina Nehwal has joined the league of the highest paid sportspersons in the country.
The Olympics Bronze medal winner has signed a three years $7.5 million contract with the sports management firm Rhiti Sports.
This firm also manages Indian cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Earlier, Saina had a contract with the Deccan Chronicle group, who also owned Indian Premier League's (IPL) team Deccan Chargers. The team was scrapped by the BCCI over non-payment of players' fees.
