The war of words between the two organization intensified after IOA's acting President VK Malhotra asked IOC president Jacques Rogge, if the terms of international observers implies for India alone.

In another letter, Malhotra questioned the necessity of sending an international observer. The IOC replied that it was necessary considering the confusion surrounding Suresh Kalmadi's status.

Some heavy words and series of letter have been exchanged within the past few days. In another letter, Malhotra expressed his surprise over the authoritative and intrusive manner of the IOC.
