'BCCI carrying Rohit Sharma like son-in-law'
New Delhi: Cricketer turned politician Kirti Azad has raised questions over team composition in the ongoing India-Pakistan cricket series. Couple of day ahead of second ODI in the series, Kirti Azad lambasted the Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) for carrying 'out of form' Rohit Sharma in the squad at the cost of many talented cricketers who continue to wait outside for a break in the national team.
Former Pakistani cricket team coach Waqar Yunis also questioned Rohit Sharma's inclusion in the team. Yunis said that he was surprised to see Sharma in the team for first one day as others like Ajinkya Rahane were rested.
After making a pulsating debut in the international cricket in the 2007 T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma has failed to maintain momentum. In the last ten innings, the Mumbai batsman has scored only 89 runs, which includes the 68-run innings.
