New Delhi: Prabir Mukherjee, the curator of Kolkata's Eden Gardens' pitch resigned on Friday.

The veteran curator, who has prepared pitches for 14 Tests in the past, came into the limelight after he refused to Indian skipper MS Dhoni's demand of rank turner for the third test too.

On Wednesday, Mukherjee was replaced by Ashish Bhowmick of the Tripura Cricket Association as the Eden Gardens' curator.

After a humiliating defeat in the second Test match at Mumbai, Indian skipper MS Dhoni has demanded a spinning track at Eden Gardens too, the venue for the third Test match from December 5.
