New Delhi: On the sidelines of reaching the 100-Test club in Indian cricket, Virender Sehwag will hesitate in doing what he does best. The explosive Indian opener said that the landmark will not change his batting style against England in the second Test on Friday.
When asked about his approach on 100th Test, Sehwag said that he will not deviate from his batting style. “If there’s a ball to be hit, be it from any bowler, I will hit it even if it is the first ball of a Test,” Viru said.
The Nawab of Najafgarh revealed that he’s happy to join the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and other greats in the 100-Test club in Indian cricket. But, it won’t stop him from butchering the England bowlers.
While talking to Mid-Day, Viru said that achieving the 100th Test cap for India is the best moment of his life as only nine cricketers have played a 100 or more Tests in 80 years of Indian cricket.
Viru also revealed that he will try not to focus on his accomplishment too much, as he doesn’t want it to affect his performance in tomorrow’s Test.
