Four killed in an accident in Ghaziabad
Ghaziabad: Four persons were killed when their vehicle rammed into another that was parked along the National Highway 24 in Ghaziabad. The accident occurred in the wee hours of Wednesday under Masuri police station of this district.
The police said Pilibhit resident Kailash (50), his wife Vandana (47), son Manish (25) and daughter Rinki (22) were in an ill-fated Maruti Alto. They were going to their ancestral village in Haryana. Their driver Akash — a resident of Sitarganj (Udham Singh Nagar Uttarkhand) was driving car. The mishap took place as they passed the upper Ganges canal and proceeded towards Ghaziabad.
After their car hit the stationary vehicle, the driver of the unidentified vehicle escaped with the vehicle and could not be identified. Immediately after the accident, the injured persons were rushed to district hospital where Kailash Chand, Vandana, Manish and the driver Akash were declared brought dead.
