Afzal Guru Hanging: LeT warns, revenge attack 'any time soon'
New Delhi: Lashkar e-Toiba has isued a warning of revenge attack, after Afzal Guru was hanged to death on Saturday, in Tihar Jail, Delhi.
The LeT in its message said that hanging has not ended it all. It said that there will be a revenge attack any time soon on India.
Speaking to BBC, LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi said, "By hanging Afzal hastily and without due judicial process, India has once again proved that all the governments there exploit Muslim sentiments in order to gain power," quoted Rising Kashmir.
LeT chief, Hafiz Sayed has called for nationwide protests to show solidarity with the conspirator of Indian Parliament attack.
He tweeted, "We will stand with Kashmiris in these testing times and ensure their voice is heard. Peaceful protests throughout the country in solidarity." (@HafizSaeedJUD)
Calling Afzal Guru innocent Sayed said that hanging has given rise to confusion in India over Kashmir.
"Martyrdom of Innocent #AfzalGuru by Judicial Terrorism has unveiled the deep confusions within India over #Kashmir; hence more tyranny."
Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Yaseen Malik is suppose to issue a statement in Islamabad shortly.
Hafiz Sayed's organization Jamat-ud-Dawa has called for protest in Lahore and Islamabad.
