Tawang: Even after 51 years, the people of India are not aware of the circumstances and reasons that led to India's defeat in the 1962 India-China war.

 

The infiltration by the Chinese Army from the Ladakh region has increased to 19 kilometres into India, which is familiar to what happened during 1962. The main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asked the Congress-led government not to repeat the mistake of 1962 by taking the intrusions lightly.

 

India and China are the two Asian countries with highest population. There has been a border dispute between the countries since decades. India lost the 1962 war which happened because of the same dispute. Both countries have engaged into dialogues about the same but the governments could not come to a possibly concrete decision.
