'Pakistan Cyber Army' hacks 437 Chinese govt websites
New Delhi: A Pakistan based hacker group has targeted over 400 Chinese government websites, according to news reports. The hacker goes by the name of "Code Cracker" and is part of the Pakistan Cyber Army group.
The hacker first posted his signature wallpaper on the website of Xuchang City People's Procuratorate. This was followed by similar postings on several of the Chinese government's sub-domain sites.
The total number of sites that were hacked was 437; a list of the site was posted on information-sharing site-PasteBin.
The Chinese government has taken down the websites and its sub-domain following the breach.
In a similar attack, Indonesian hackers breached the same website in September 2010. It faced another attack on November 29.
People are using hacking as an effective method to raise their voice in regions where freedom of speech is not as rampant.
