Libya: According to media reports, spokeswoman of Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan said on Thursday that the rebels have kidnapped Zeidan and taken him to an undisclosed location.
Reportedly, armed rebels escorted the prime minister from the Corinthian Hotel in Tripol into a convoy of waiting cars. According to witnesses, there was no gunfire during the incident, the gunmen were respectful and ‘caused no trouble’.
While calling the news a rumour earlier on the official Facebook page, the prime minister’s office later posted a note that said it was ‘coerced by kidnappers to deny the report’.
