Luxury brand Burberry has come up with a novel way to do carry out business, by introducing out a new ‘Runway Made to Order’ service, launched at the current London Fashion Week.
Burberry is now aspiring at increasing its online fan base through its social media influence. Rather with the latest collection of bags and outerwear shown in the Burberry runway presentation, the brand would make provisions to pre-order online. The luxury brand has also started with “smart personalization” — NFC (near field communication) chips various items that would tell the story of the garment from manufacture stage up until the delivery stage. The ‘Runway Made to Order’ service would be ready to run for the next 13 days.
