Premium Terminal at Doha International Airport has recently been voted the best in the world for services like personal chauffeurs, 5-star dining options and in-transit spa and sauna experiences.
Travelers and Skytrax’s voters in Geneva this week announced World’s Best Airport Awards out of which the luxury terminal by Qatar Airways was named the World’s Best Premium Service Airport. Built with a budget of Rs 543 crore, in the year 2006, the terminal has a 10,000-square-meter space and Doha’s Premium Terminal acts as a detached, self-contained airport for the resplendently rich and famous.
The terminal also boasts of its own duty-free shopping area, self-service check-in kiosks and has dedicated e-gates to speed up immigration formalities.
Visitors get greeted by a concierge, and later make a choice between an array of five-star dining options such as hot and cold Arabic and international cuisine, unwind in a spa and Jacuzzi, or get a massage. Families too have the options of nurseries and children’s play area, while business travelers have a conference and meeting room at their disposal.
