So, it’s true then, Prada would be lending clothes to the characters played in the Baz Luhrmann’s dazzling silver screen adaptation, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire. The name of the movie is ‘The Great Gatsby.’
According to interviews published in leading fashion magazines, 40 dresses would be used from Prada’s cupboard and mind you these are not from the recent collections but from those made long back as the couture of the movie would be inspired by the era of the 20’s.
However, the fashion brand says that the Prada Spring/Summer 2012 menswear collection represents a very seductive first approach of this era’s fashion interpretation.
We all know that this is the second collaboration Miuccia Prada and Baz Lurhmann, and we are expecting a spectacular show! It was back in 1996 that the fashion brand had created a special outfit for Leonardo DiCaprio, which was much loved in the movie Romeo + Juliet.
It is said that Baz Lurhmann’s adaptation of the famous novel published by Francis Scott Fitzgerald in 1925 will hit cinemas in July 2013.
