A rare post-war coach built Rolls Royce, the 1958 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud I ‘Honeymoon Express’ Drophead Coup is up for grabs and would go under the hammer at the RM’s Monaco Auction on the 12th of May. The pre sales estimates are of $1.59 million. The car is a two passenger car, with bucket seats having a fold down armrests and adjustable seats back.
The car was specially made for Arnold Moreton who was a high ranking Freemason from Manchester. Powered by 178 bhp, the car has a 4, 887 cc F- Head 6 cylinder engine with 2 SU carburetors and 4 hydra-matic automatic transmissions.Most exclusive are the cocktail cabinets in the rear storage area, which have a cocktail shaker and four crystal whiskey tumblers. With power- assisted steering and power windows as well, you have nothing to loose except some moolah for the great and a rare ride.
