Ashutosh Maharaj's son sits on hunger strike, wants to perform father's last rites at native village
Chandigarh/Madhubani: Dalip Kumar Jha, a native of Bihar, has claimed that Ashutosh Maharaj is his father who is dead now. He has demanded that his body should be handed over to the family so that they could perform the last rites at the native village. According to media reports Dalip Kumar is ready to undergo DNA test. Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan (DJJS) has termed the talk about Ashutosh's family as baseless. However, Dalip claims that his mother who is wife of Ashutosh Maharaj, is alive and the whole family expects to get a share in the Rs 1000 crore property of the organisation.
Dalip has sat on hunger strike at his Lakhnaur village in Madhubani. He wants the DJJS to hand over his father's body. "He is no more in this world and DJJS is trying to cover up something by claiming that he is in deep Sadhna," he alleged.
Dalip and family are exploring the legal recourse in this matter, but yet no legal notice has been sent to the DJJS.
