Rohtak, Haryana: ‘King of wrestling rings’, Rohtak’s boxing champion-turned actor, Sanjeet Kumar alias Sangram Singh had survived a fatal accident in childhood.

He was born on 21st July, 1985 in Madina village of Rohtak, Haryana. As a child, he was a simple and quiet fellow. He studied in Maharshi Dayanand University. An accident in childhood proved to be a major turning point in the Singh’s life. Doctors had given up on saving his life. Singh was a patient of arthritis and paralysis. 
In 8 years of his treatment, he was also treated in the country’s topmost medical college, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
As a child, he was on a wheelchair support but as after few years he became a world-renowned wrestler. 
For the first time, Sangram Singh became a public figure when he won the ‘Mr. India’ title in bodybuilding championship in 2011 in Bhopal. After this, he never looked in career. Success was always by his side. He won boxing titles in Pakistan, England, Germany, South Africa, Finland, France, Nigeria and Spain. 
President Dr. Abdul Kalam also conferred upon him the title ‘Best Performance in Wrestling’.
He also wrestled with controversies in his career. He had posed nude for a campaign launched by PETA for which he was there in news headlines. His photo shoot with Payal Rohtagi also drew major public attention.
Sangram is a participant in Colors TV show in Bigg Boss Season 7. His girlfriend, Rohtagi claimed that he was being used a scapegoat by other participants in the reality show.
