Delhi gang-rape: More trouble for Zee, faces legal action for revealing victim's identity

Delhi Police on Friday lodged a case against Zee News channel for revealing the identity of the gang-rape victim by carrying an interview of her boyfriend.
According to reports, a case under Section 228-A of the Indian Penal Code has been filed at Vasant Vihar police station.
What is Section 228A?
Whosoever "print or publishes the name or any matter which may make known the identity" of any rape victim shall be punished with a jail term extending up to two years.
Zee News had on Friday telecast the first-ever interview of the friend of the 23-year-old medical student, who was gang-raped by six men on a moving bus in South Delhi on December 12 last year.
