New Delhi: Security around India Gate area was beefed up and entry to the lawns were closed in Sunday in wake of the Thursday's twin blasts in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the lawns and walkways around India Gate area were barricaded and hawkers and visitors have been prohibited from entering the area. However, traffic movement near the area remained unaffected.
The central government on Saturday had issued an alert to all states in the wake of the twin blasts that ripped through the heart of Hyderabad on Thursday. The Centre had issued a warning to states to be vigilant about possible terror activity.
